Message from Philip & Gill Baddeley,
of Baddeleys Chartered Surveyors:

After more than 25 happy (and very busy!) years in business, we have now retired. Read more details here.

For reference, here’s more infomation about us (last updated August 2017)…

Our history

Baddeleys has been an independent family business in Lancaster for over 25 years. We have extensive experience in residential surveys and the housing market in general. We’ve bought, renovated, rented and sold properties ourselves on numerous occasions over the years, so understand how complicated the process can be – and know how to avoid common mistakes and all the accompanying stress! We’ve always been happy to share our knowledge and offer advice without obligation about the right steps to take.

Partner profiles:

phillip-baddeley Philip Baddeley (FRICS)
Phil has been a Chartered Surveyor since 1974 and has extensive experience in house surveys and property valuations. Born in Leigh, Lancashire, Phil trained as a building surveyor in Sheffield and is an official North West RICS Spokesperson for residential housing matters. He has also represented the RICS at national events. Outside work, Phil enjoys music, golf (member of Lancaster Golf Club), reading and cycling.
gillian-baddeley Gillian Baddeley
Originally trained as a PE teacher in Yorkshire, Gill has managed the administrative side of Baddeleys for the life of the company and has extensive experience of the property market, both practical and financial. She is always happy to offer advice and answer any queries you may have – or refer technical queries to Phil where necessary. In her spare time, Gill loves fashion, interior design, yoga and cycling. And warm weather!

Gill and Phil have lived in Lancaster for over 25 years. Much of this time has been spent living in the countryside, enjoying rural life – but more recently they’ve moved to the city centre, taking advantage of the unique setting and atmosphere of Lancaster. Both take a keen interest in local events and businesses across nearby areas like Morecambe and Carnforth.
